The Winnipeg Kinsmen is a service group that are true partners of the community. They eagerly use their platforms and profile to further the important causes they support, and lead by example by stepping up to volunteer with a variety of local charities.

Founded in 1920, Kinsmen was created to provide fellowship, the fulfillment of citizenship, their needs, and the needs of others in the community. Four years later on February 20th, 1924, the Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg had their first official meeting, and has since donated millions of dollars and thousands of hours of volunteer time to hundreds of community initiatives across Manitoba.

We were pleased to receive the award for Outstanding Foundation or Philanthropic Group for 2023 from the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Manitoba chapter.

Winnipeg Kinsmen currently has 24 members who serve on a volunteer board in the organization. The organization is led by a team of six executive members and their daily operations are supported by nine full-time staff and a few part-time staff. They use dollars raised through two main fundraising programs to support charities in need; the Kinsmen Jackpot Bingo media bingo, which has been televised weekly in Manitoba since 1968, and the Kin Kar raffle.
