• • Anishiative

• Anishiative was co-founded in 2020 in the North End, by Indigenous youth.
• Anishiative aims to empower, inspire and support inner-city Indigenous youth through helping the community and providing youth with cultural and land-based opportunities. We recognize the importance youth play in healing our community. We practice lateral kindness by way of volunteerism, which helps to establish pride in the community, builds self-confidence and a sense of purpose.
• Anishiative began by hosting youth-led litter patrols in the North End and downtown, providing water and snacks to community as they walked
• Other projects Anishiative began include: in 2021 we started putting up teepee’s at the Thunderbird house each year to keep our houseless community members warm during harsh winters, youth empowerment programs, and land-based summer camps.
• Anishiaitive is now preparing to launch their new inner city space in the North End, a safe space that will offer cultural workshops, ceremony and much more!

• Winnipeg Kinsmen sponsor volunteer programs at Ronald Mcdonald House Manitoba

  • Recognizing the essential role volunteers play in the RMHC Manitoba mission, Winnipeg Kinsmen are once again generously standing by RMHC Manitoba’s side to serve and support families as our 2023 Volunteer Program Sponsor.
  • Volunteers are an integral part of RMHC Manitoba’s two core programs, Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room. Whether you are welcoming families at the front desk, baking cookies, or ensuring families have a freshly made bed, your generosity and commitment have a direct impact on RMHC Manitoba families.
  • Currently, we are looking for volunteers with a passion for our mission to fill volunteer spots at RMHC Manitoba’s House and Family Room to help with a variety of tasks:

    Meal preparation
    Baking
    Light cleaning
    Organizing common spaces
    Yard and garden care

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age, fully COVID-19 immunized, and asked to commit to bi-weekly shifts for a minimum of six months.
  • . Volunteers are offered positions conditional upon a satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check within the last six months and Child Abuse Registry Check.
  • To participate you must be a resident of Manitoba OR physically located in Manitoba, a winner who is not the legal age of majority must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at the time of claiming their prize.
