Ronald McDonald House Charities - Manitoba

  • Since 1984, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Manitoba has supported the health and well-being of children receiving medical care by providing essential services and a home away from home for their families.
  • In 2022, RMHC Manitoba supported 884 families with essential services through its two core programs, Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room, and provided 5,380 nights of accommodation to Winnipeg and rural Manitoba families, saving them an estimated $1,414,345 in costly, out-of-pocket expenses.
  • RMHC Manitoba was proud to open its new Ronald McDonald House program last September, which brought a 186% increase in mission delivery, grew from 11,000 sq. ft. to 60,000 sq. ft, and expanded from 14 to 40 bedrooms for families in need. Since its opening, the new House has served 417 families with 7,778 nights of accommodation (71% average occupancy rate), saving them over $1.9M.
  • There are many ways to support RMHC Manitoba families, including general and in-kind donations, Champion for Families online fundraiser, Home for Dinner program, volunteering, and more. Help give families the gift of togetherness when it’s needed most at RMHCManitoba.org.
  • We thank you for recognizing, valuing, and supporting the RMHC Manitoba mission. Because of you, RMHC Manitoba families are stronger together!

Toba Centre For Children and Youth

  • It is Toba Centre’s mission to restore the health and wellbeing of those affected by child abuse through a coordinated, community response.

  • It is our vision that every victim of child abuse is heard, helped and healed.

  • Toba Centre coordinates a collaborative approach to child abuse response utilizing an internationally recognized child advocacy centre model.  Our current location offers a child-friendly space where we bring together law enforcement, child welfare, and Toba Centre staff to coordinate a child’s forensic interview and provide specialized support to children and their caregivers/families as they navigate both the systems involved in the response to child abuse, as well as their individual journeys towards healing and justice.
  • Our new home, located at 710 Assiniboine Park Drive, is set to open in August 2023.  Within this space, police, child welfare, medical, Toba Centre staff and volunteers, and other support services will work together to serve children and families.  This coordinated response is a critical element in reducing potential trauma to children and families and improving services overall, while preserving and respecting the rights, mandates, and obligations of mandated agencies.
  • As a community-driven organization, we rely on donations, in-kind support, and grants to deliver the standard of service children and families in Manitoba deserve.  To learn how you can get involved, visit Take Action - Toba Centre for Children & Youth.
